You might be able to take the Bible out of schools, but you can never take God out of schools. When we represent God in us, we get to take God everywhere we go. Sin is ravaging our world and it shows up in so many ways. Sometimes we focus too much on the “ism” (racism, sexism, alcoholism, etc..) and never get to the root of the problem; which is sin! That is why we need to look at the Bible and learn from it. Scripture is either prescriptive, teaching how something should be, or descriptive, describing how something happened. Are you saved and how do you know? Is believing the facts enough to save you? Intellectual assent is not enough. Belief is more than that. True belief means you TRUST what Jesus Christ did on the cross is true, your sins are forgiven, and you become a child of God.
