Happy Easter or Resurrection Sunday?

Mister Brown • 1 Corinthians 15:14, 1 Peter 2:24, 2 Corinthians 5:17

Whether you call it Easter or Resurrection Sunday, it's what you're celebrating that matters. The fact is Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection changed everything and that is what we should be acknowledging today. Something to think about with regard to the resurrection: Propitiation - Jesus paid for our sins on the cross and satisfied the wrath of God on our behalf.

The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly of the Bible | Romans 15:4

Mister Brown • Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Matthew 26, 2 Samuel 11, Romans 15:4

Sin is ravaging our world and it shows up in so many ways. Sometimes we focus too much on the “ism” (racism, sexism, alcoholism, etc..) and never get to the root of the problem; which is sin! That is why we need to look at the Bible and learn from it. Scripture is either prescriptive, teaching how something should be, or descriptive, describing how something happened. We can have hope when we read the Word of God and learn from the stories and people it talks about. Romans 15:4 Romans 5:12 Romans 3:23 Matthew 26 2 Samuel 11 Hebrews 13:5

Mister Brown • Romans 10:9–13, Acts 16:31, John 3:16, John 1:12, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

Are you saved and how do you know? Is believing the facts enough to save you? Intellectual assent is not enough. Belief is more than that.
